The Commonwealth of Australia consists of 6 federated states and 10 federated territories, 3 of which are internal territories.
The 6 states are:
New South Wales (NSW)
Queensland (QLD)
South Australia (SA)
Tasmania (TAS)
Victoria (VIC)
Western Australia (WA)
And the 3 internal territories are:
Australian Capital Territory (ACT)
Jervis Bay Territory (ACT)
Northern Territory (NT)
