Up to now there are no or only a few problems. But If I haven’t worked through the text I would have to use my creativity to understand the interview-at least the difficult ones like the one with your (sometimes) speedy 😉 cousin Rhys (Hope it’s correct that he is your cousin if I remember the long version of the interview correctly…..). But it’s really a good exercise because in real life I need this ability to not despair when there is SO which overwhelmes me with speed, word connnections over 3 sentences and vowels that I’ve never heard in some words 🙂 So sounds the „igh“ in words like „light“ and „might“ in the interviews sometimes like a new vowel for me. Something with an o or/and a …… But in these cases I repeat these parts and hear them again (and sometimes once again….) until (is „until“ correct? It sounds strange…) I can hear the word(s). For me it’s really good because I can read these interviews without problems (apart from some vocabs) . But I get into trouble if SO speaks very quickly and with slang or mumbling. If this happens in a real situation there will start an alarm and a kind of panic spreads in my head …. And that’s the moment in (at.? Because it’s „at the moment?….) that I get off and in (at) that I decide to choose the way of inner emigration….. I suppose that this is the point most language learners have. We have to practice such situations….. one smooth way could be to do it with these interviews. I’ll let you know how I’ll feel in a few days. Completely cactus or better than before.
