Now, let’s take everything you’ve learnt.

In the following exercise there’ll be examples of the Australian /ɐ/ sound followed by no sound, consonant sounds, and vowel sounds.

I want you to pay attention to when the word endings are pronounced as:

  1. /ɐ/ + no /ɹ/ sound.
  2. /ə/ + no /ɹ/ sound.
  3. /ə/ + a /ɹ/ sound.
