In today's episode...

Alright, g’day listeners! In this ripper of an episode of Aussie English’s “The Goss,” Pete and his old man, Ian, get stuck into some proper Aussie chinwag. They kick things off with a classic “you’ve gotta be kidding me” moment about a measly fine handed to a massive gas company for an oil spill – seriously, it’s a joke!

Then, they dive deep into the good ol’ “tall poppy syndrome,” that classic Aussie trait where we tend to bring down anyone who gets a bit too big for their boots. They have a yarn about whether it’s a fair dinkum part of our culture or just a load of old cobblers, and how it stacks up against the way things are done in the UK.

Of course, no good Aussie chat would be complete without a bit of a whinge about the news these days. They reckon it’s all adverts and clickbait, and they wonder where all the fair dinkum journalism has gone. Plus, they have a bit of a think about what the future holds for news with all this AI stuff kicking around.

So, if you’re keen for a good, honest chat about all things Aussie, chuck on your headphones and have a listen! You’ll get a real earful of natural Aussie English, and maybe even learn a thing or two. Plus, you’ll hear Pete and his dad get properly fired up about a few things! What are you waiting for? Have a listen now!
