AE 1350 - Pete's 2c: A Smissen Family and Aussie English 2025 Update

In today's episode...
Right then, chuck on your headphones and get ready for a yarn with your mate Pete on the Aussie English podcast!
In this ripper of an episode, Pete gives us a fair dinkum update on the family. We hear how the little tackers are going at daycare – did you know you can get a bit of a discount on those fees Down Under depending on your income?
We also get the lowdown on how Pete's kids are blossoming. Joana's an absolute whiz with her arts and has become quite the little chatterbox. And young Noah? Well, he's kicking goals in primary school, making mates left, right, and centre, and is now part of the local AFL Auskick program – future footy star in the making, no doubt!
But it's not all sunshine and rainbows, is it? Pete reckons the weekends can be a bit of a madhouse with the kids home – birthdays, day trips to see the sights… sometimes you just need a bit of peace and quiet, eh? Meanwhile, Kel's still keeping the show on the road with her admin work at the music school.
Now, a quick heads-up, legends: the Aussie English website is currently having a bit of a spruce-up, so if things look a bit wonky, that's why! Sorry 'bout that, we're working hard to get it back to its usual brilliant self.
So, if you're keen for a bit of a chinwag about Aussie life, family, and all things English learning, give this episode a listen! You won't be disappointed.
